Pregnant with Possibilities Resource Center provides culturally competent sexual health education, perinatal support, tools and techniques that equip individuals to overcome barriers to give birth to their goals. Our programs and services are research-based, reflect best practices, and are designed by Black women for Black teens and women who live in Cleveland and its southeast suburbs. All services are free and confidential.

Pregnant with Possibilities Resource Center (PPRC), has been present since 2015 and our mission is to enable young women in Northeast Ohio to realize their full potential. Our mission is achieved by creating community partnerships, offering supportive programs, mentorship and character development. For the past four years we’ve had the pleasure of serving within the community. Most recently we opened our doors for the community to walk into our facility for resources, classes and workshops, and new or used baby items.

Sexual Health Education Programs for Teens

The Endless Possibilities Program research-based curriculum is an enjoyable, engaging, and interactive ten-session program for young ladies in grades 6-12. The program aims to prevent premature pregnancies, AIDS, and STDs, while addressing the challenges of academic success, relationships, self-esteem, and peer pressure.

  • Our highly interactive program includes lectures, classroom discussions, interactive games, literacy activities, goal setting journal and a book club component.

Prenatal Support Program - M.O.M (Making Opportunities Matter)

Our 13-session research-based M.O.M program is designed to help women who are pregnant or are up to 12 months postpartum. Women meet as a group, twice a week with a trained trauma-informed facilitator, to create a plan for life that produces an overall healthy emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

  • Sessions integrate didactic teaching, role playing, interactive activities, pre- and post-natal yoga, fetal and parental literacy, and group discussion. Women join MOM because they hear how powerful it is.

Women’s Empowerment Program

The Afterparty is a yearlong program that brings M.O.M Program Alumni together to build a tribe of support, accountability, and resources. The program consists of monthly mentoring, bi-monthly workshops, incentives for goals and strategic family planning. The aim is to decrease toxic stress, infant mortality and subsequent pregnancies while increasing self-awareness and goal accomplishment. This powerful series addresses the cycles of systemic racism, while offering real solutions to break barriers that have bound women to patterns of generational cycles.

Sponsorship packet

We are excited to present our sponsorship plans for our Annual Mommy & Me Ball. Mothers have a primary role in shaping children’s success, values and character. However, studies show that women and children born into impoverished circumstances are at a greater disadvantage of basic human needs being exceeded. The Mommy & Me Ball is a high energy affair that cultivates relationships between mothers, grandparents, guardians and children of all ages. We empower all to excel by encouraging healthy decisions and improving birth outcomes in the communities we serve.

The Impact

Pregnant with Possibilities Resource Center is one of the emerging “Black-led and Black-serving” social service and healthcare organizations in Cleveland that is confronting the racial disparities in Black women’s maternal health. Here’s a quick overview of our efforts over the last 7 years.
